The present study guide is compiled in accordance with the Curriculum and Working Programme for the discipline "Pharmacology". The pharmacology of drugs affecting the central nervous system is constantly being replenished with new foreign drugs with an original mechanism of action, which enter the Russian pharmaceutical market and quickly find widespread use in practical medicine. To facilitate the understanding of the dependence of the main therapeutic and side effects of drugs on the mechanisms of their pharmacodynamic action, the study guide is drawn up in the form of diagrams and tables. Each topic provides a classification (international and main trade names) of drugs, points of application and mechanisms of their action, main pharmacological effects and their usage, as well as undesirable side effects. The educational-methodical study guide is intended for the 3rd year students studying in 31.05.01 "General Medicine" (specialist level). The book will be useful for senior medical students studying Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical pharmacology.
